Summer 2010

Dear Friends,

While abstract artist Pat Martin is no longer teaching out of the studio (we are in the midst of re-arranging the studio), she continues to teach locally, and is accepting new students. Pat is a terrific artist and art teacher, and will introduce seasoned artists and newcomers alike to some wonderfully creative techniques. Pat uses mylar, Venetian plaster, asphaultum, gestural drawing, encaustic, poured painting, innovative collage techniques, and a host of other methods to stimulate the creative within. Email her at patmartin9@verizon.net or call (215) 534-2658 to learn more. Classes are usually $15.00/hour or $270.00 for the six-week session.

I will be offering a one day workshop from the Fine Art of Play series in mid-October. This will be a fun day of experimentation and, well, PLAY. We’ll work with manipulatives (you’ll just have to come and see what these cool objects are!), paint on huge pieces of paper using the whole body, try tons of different media, and so on. You can look at my photo gallery to get an idea of what the workshop is all about.  The cost will be $60.00 for the day (9:30-3:00). Bring lunch and dress for mess.

Have a great summer.
